Belonging to the family of gruyère cheeses, which are cooked, pressed cheeses, the Comté cheese is made of raw, cow's milk. Comte is creamy with a supple and smooth texture. The Comté cheese is artisan made, and is the most popular cheese in the world and rightly so!
Our Comté has been aged by Fromagerie Vagné , a very small, niche fromagerie. It's a little over 30 months old and bursting with nutty, fruity and barnyard flavours. The paste is speckled with crunchy crystals, and is rich and creamy. It is made using Summer milk from a single farm where cow's graze on 10kms of alpine grass and vegetation.
