Terre à Terre’s founders have serious vinous lineage. Xavier Bizot of the Bollinger Champagne family, and Lucy Croser’s father, Brian, is among Australia’s modern wine pioneers. Rest on inherited laurels they do not. Their densely planted Wrattonbully vineyard, draws inspiration from Bordeaux and Sancerre’s best, where sauvignon’s not just about hitting the high tropical notes. Richness, texture, acidity and a dimension of bottle age make this a most intriguing wine.
